Blessed beyond my wildest dreams

It has been quite a while since my last post, unfortunately when I decided to do a blog I did not take into account the time it would require from me to keep it up to date. In the past 9 months much has happened in the life of Photography by Frank Sanchez. My first month in absence from my log I started out with the engagement sitting for a very special couple, Elaine and Daniel on December 8,2006 at 6:30 am in South Beach. Elaine and Danny had ordered a beautiful guestbook containing many of their engagement portraits in it, therefore I suggested not only shooting at the beach, but going into the Art Deco District to capture them along with the beautiful architecture, and then off to Lincoln Road. Little did I know that we were starting a new trend with engagement sittings in Lincoln Road., as a few of our future brides have commented a few brides are now considering this venue for their engagement sittings. I arrived back at the office at 9:30am to refresh and change clothing, only to take off 1 hour later to join a great photographer from Los Angeles, and a friend John Solano at the Ritz Carlton South Beach for the wedding of Florida Marlin’s pitcher Dontrelle Willis and his beautiful bride Natalie. The actual ceremony took place at the beautiful St.Patrick’s Catholic Church in Miami Beach, with the reception following at the elegant Ritz Carlton South Beach. After the reception there was an after party which lasted till the early hours of the morning. The elegant event was attended by many professional players, as well as many of Dontrelle’s childhood friends, as well as his six grade teacher. To say that the event was lavish is an understatement, but what truly impressed me is Dontrelle’s genuine nature, despite all the fame and success he has not allowed this to change who he is as a very humble and caring person. Images from this event will be posted in the near future as a national publication has first publishing rights on the images. May The Lord continue to bless the Willis family in all their endeavors. As for us, this day is a reflection of how we have been in the past 9 months, very busy with work, thanks to all our faithful couples who have shared their experiences with their friends.

The Wedding of Claudia and Oswaldo

This Saturday, November 25, 2006 we had the privilege of documenting the wedding of Oswaldo Gonzalez, and Claudia Negrette. The ceremony and reception took place at the beautiful Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Karl Rodig, with whom I’ve had the privilege of working numerous times, however, each time, it seems like it was the first time. The ceremony contained all the elements of a couple who are truly in love. Oswaldo and Claudia not only shared their vows, but emotional tears of joy, as the joy of this special day was too much to contain within.

After their formal portraits, the couple walked into the beautifully decorated Rotunda, which was exquisitely decorated by Elsa Perez, from National Flowers. Claudia and Oswaldo walked in to the fantastic sounds of Tradison Band which consisted of a twelve piece band. Their phenomenal sounds, kept everyone on the dance floor dancing the night away. To say, that this was an extremely fun and happy wedding would be an understatement, and would not do the event justice. The event went smoothly under the direction of wedding coordinator Alice K. Villar, from Affairs Remembered and her talented team.

I want to thank this awesome couple, for inviting us to be a part of this wonderful day, and I pray for The Lord to bless them, as they begin this new journey in their lives.

The Wedding of Vivian and Fred

This Saturday November 11, 2006, we had the privilege of documenting the wedding of Vivian Lemus, and Fred Viera. I knew Vivian was a special person since the first day we met, she is truly a sweet, caring, and fun individual. Fred, I met on the week of the wedding, and he is also a fantastic individual, fun, intelligent, and well unfortunately a Gator.

The nuptials took place at St. Hughs Catholic Church, In Coconut Grove, with the reception following at Comber Hall. It was great to work with this fantastic couple, as it made it fun, in the midst of the rush, as the church only allowed ten minutes to do all the family pictures. Thanks to the cooperation of the couple, the family members, and the Grace of God, we managed to get all the images that we needed within the ten minute time period. The reception at Comber Hall was flawless, under the skilful eye of Sylvia Viyella, her and her staff were on top of all the details. Vivian, and Fred, truly enjoyed their special night, as can be witnessed by the constant smiles, and laughter in their photographs.

I want to wish Vivian and Fred, a blessed, long life together, and a life filled with joy and happiness.

Blessings,

Frank Sanchez

Release of new web page.

Today, I am excited, as after many months of planning, our new web site is finally up and running. The past few months have been very difficult, as I was out of town on two separate occasions in Indianapolis, and once in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, documenting weddings. This was preceded by four weeks in jury duty, as well as documenting my local weddings.

I want to extend my thanks first and foremost, to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave me strength when I believed I could no longer carry on. I also want to thank my many clients, friends, and colleague, and brother Travis Broxton, from Broxton Photography in Denver, Colorado, for being inspirational to me.

In this site, I hope to open my heart to all of you as I share my passion for the art of photography.
